100% Jerk!!!

PART 1

We work in the same company for almost 2 years. Let’s name it Mr. X. Through the hard work we’ve done, we became closer (best friends). Until lately, Mr. X decided to open a new company. He asked me to join him but I’m in dilemma whether my decision is right or wrong. Since I’m not very happy working in the previous company and he offer me a better regulation, I decided to join him. He promise me the amount of salary, other than that same as the previous (overtime, annual leave, MC, public holiday and so on).

But my previous boss Mr. Y, he rejected my resignation letter. He replies “Pretend like I didn’t receive this letter, ok?” He asked me a lot of question. He asked me the reason I resign. I didn’t bluff him, I tell him the truth. I can see from his face (disappointed & sad). What surprise me is….he even beg me please don’t resign. “Don’t leave me and the company, and you should know we’re short of Chinese staff with experience”.

At that time, I feel like crying but I control my tears. I didn’t answer anything and I just geleng-geleng my head. We stayed in side the office for around 1 hour. At last,
he agreed and still he didn’t give up. “Wish you all the best, good luck and hope we still have chance to cooperate together”. “The door will always welcome for you”. This is the last word I heard from him.

My sister and I ended there on 30/11/2004. Therefore, we started our new job at a new company on 1/12/2004. But Mr. X ended there on 31/12/2004. Till now, I still remember the first look of the shop. Dirty, messy, smelly (previously is a restaurant). My sister and I started our job. I help him design the cabinet, paint the wall, paint the gate. My sister in charge of contacting and ordering.

Although we were very tired, but we were happy working together on the first day of 2005. Day by days, week by weeks, the shop was almost full. Everyone was busy checking the goods, entering the stocks, printing the bar codes, re-packing and arranging the stocks according to departments. Sometimes we work until late midnight. The next day, we were invited to his house for a lunch break.

Now, everyone was waiting for the opening day. The opening day was on 19/1/2005.The shop was decorated nicely with balloons and some bouquet of flowers sponsor by his relatives and big company. Buffet was provided too. Lot of customers coming in and out just for congrats him other than buying. Most of the customers is from the previous company because we sending them the invitation cards.

Boring already reading my journal? But be patient, you haven’t read the cruel part…
GUESS??? What he had done for us? Until now, he still very care for us, right? Later you read yourself….

Just a click for an eyes, everyone was waiting with excitement face to get paid (Salary day) because we all didn’t get our salary from last year. But nobody knowing,
WHAT THAT CRUEL JERK DONE FOR US….
